Amy Rachelle King (née Duggar) (born September 30, 1986) is the only child of Terry Jordan and Deanna Duggar.

She is the wife of Dillon King and the mother of their child, Daxton.

Early life[]

Amy Rachelle Duggar was born on September 30, 1986, in Arkansas, to Terry Jordan and Deanna Duggar. She was the couple's only child.

Her parents were not married at the time of her birth, but they later got married to each other when Amy was 19 years old. They later divorced when Amy was 29 years old.

Amy attended John Tyson Elementary School as a child. She attended Shiloh Christian School through 9th grade, and then attended Springdale High School until she graduated in 2005.

Amy was abused by her father as a young child.

On New Year's Day 1993, Amy and her mother survived a car wreck. The car spun out of control after hitting black ice on the highway. They got hit by two cars. Amy did not need any medical attention as a result.

Amy dated at least six men before meeting the man she married. She has been vocal about the fact that she did not wait until marriage to have sex.

She has also openly discussed her dislike of courting.

According to a post on his Instagram, Amy met Dillon King on July 11, 2014. Despite this, she is in pictures with him in April 2013.

Engagement[]

On July 12, 2015, Dillon King proposed to Amy in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. On July 13, 2015, Amy announced that they were engaged. Based on pictures, the proposal took place outdoors and he lined the walkway to the planned spot with candles.

On September 6, 2015, Amy married Dillon Grey King at Horton Farms in Gravette, Arkansas. Amy's maid of honor was her friend Julie Story. Her bridesmaids were Dillon's sister Loren Bullard, her friend Christie Bates, and two unknown friends. Her bell girls were her cousins Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn, and Josie and her cousin Josh's daughter Mackynzie.

Honeymoon[]

For their honeymoon, Amy and Dillon went to Cancun, Mexico. Based on pictures, the trip included a lot of time relaxing at the beach and enjoying nice restaurants.

Motherhood[]

On April 21, 2019, Amy and Dillon announced that they were expecting their first child, due October 2019. On June 1, 2019, Amy revealed that they were expecting a boy. On July 20, 2019, Amy revealed that they were naming their son Daxton Ryan, and calling him Dax. Their son, Daxton Ryan, was born on October 9, 2019, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, via a scheduled C-section. He weighed 7 pounds and 8 ounces, and was 20 inches long. The delivery was described as "smooth and easy".

Health[]

On December 24, 2021, Amy revealed that she had tested positive for COVID-19, a week and a half after her husband Dillon tested positive. Their son, Daxton, did not test positive. Amy stated that they most likely got sick after a trip where they flew on airplanes.

Amy is allergic to cilantro and peppermint.

Television[]

Starting in 2008, Amy was regularly featured on the TLC show 19 Kids and Counting, which focused on the life of her maternal uncle Jim Bob Duggar's large conservative family. Amy was often placed as a foil, with editing comparing her more "normal" lifestyle to that of her sheltered cousins. In 2014, the show aired a special titled "A Duggar Leaves Home" that focused on Amy's trip to Nashville, Tennessee, to try to become a famous singer.

Amy appeared on the TLC show Counting On, which is a spin-off of 19 Kids and Counting. Her appearances on this show were infrequent and generally in the background.

Amy and her husband Dillon were one of the subjects of season 9 of the WETV show Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars. The show focuses on married couples looking to save their marriages through therapy. Many found it odd that a couple who had been married for less than a year would appear on such a show. Amy discussed her childhood abuse on the show, crediting it as the source of many of her marital problems.

Amy was interviewed for the docuseries Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets.

As featured in the 19 Kids and Counting special episode "A Duggar Leaves Home", Amy worked towards a career as a singer for a time. She said that she did not chase this career because she didn't want to be known as the "crazy Duggar cousin".

Mentoring[]

In Summer 2018, Amy began a job mentoring young girls at some sort of facility in Arkansas. The specifics of this job are unknown, and she likely left it when she opened her clothing store in December of the same year.

3130 clothing[]

Amy currently owns and operates her own clothing boutique, 3130 Clothing. On December 1, 2018, she officially opened the store in Springdale, Arkansas. On August 27, 2021, Amy moved the location of the store to Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers, Arkansas, due to a contract breech. On April 29, 2022, Amy announced that she would be selling everything on the store's website and closing down the physical store. She originally sold items simultaneously between the store and the website.

Wedding involvement[]

Amy was the flower girl wagon pusher at her cousin Josh's wedding to Anna Keller on September 26, 2008.

She was a bridesmaid at her friend Julie Story's wedding to Loyal Smithson on January 7, 2017.
