Gunner James Forsyth (born May 17, 2023) is the third child and second son of Austin Forsyth and Joy-Anna Forsyth.
He is the brother of Gideon Forsyth and Evelyn Forsyth.
Early life
On October 5, 2022, Austin and Joy-Anna Forsyth announced that they were expecting their third child, due May 23, 2023. They found out that they were expecting on September 7, 2022 at 3 weeks gestation during a trip to Alaska. Joy mentioned that this was a high-risk pregnancy, due to her miscarrying their daughter Annabell at 20 weeks gestation in June 2019 and having a blood clotting disorder. Their pregnancy announcement was featured on their YouTube channel.

On November 18, 2022, Austin and Joy-Anna revealed that they were expecting a boy. They threw darts at a board with balloons filled with blue and pink colored powder and confetti. The color that appeared the most in the balloons was the gender. Family members then set off blue powder cannons to reveal the baby to be a boy. Their gender reveal was featured on their YouTube channel.
On December 24, 2022, Joy-Anna revealed in a YouTube video that they were giving their son the name James as either his first name or his middle name. This name is in honor of his paternal great-grandfather Edwin Forsyth's middle name, his maternal grandfather Jim Bob Duggar, and his maternal great-grandfather Jimmy Duggar.
His birth was announced on May 19, 2023, but did not reveal his name or date of birth. On May 21, 2023, they revealed his name and date of birth. Gunner James Forsyth was born on May 17, 2023, at Willow Creek Women's Hospital in Johnson, Arkansas. He weighed 8 pounds and 14 ounces.
Gunner is described as easy, chill, and constantly smiling and belly laughing. He enjoys being held and talked to.
Health
When Gunner was 1 week old, he developed a hernia on his belly button. It then grew when he was 4 weeks old. The doctor said that it should heal on its own by the age of 2.
In June 2024, Gunner was hospitalized after choking on a piece of ham. He vomited multiple times and stopped breathing for twenty seconds. After he caught his breath, he struggled to take shallow breaths and was very lethargic. The hospital did x-rays to make sure his throat was clear.
