Jackson Levi Duggar was born on May 23, 2004, to Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar. Jackson was born via an emergency C-section at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was the couple's fifteenth child, and they went on to have four more children after him.

Jackson's birth was noteworthy as he was the first Duggar child to have his birth aired on TV, with the Discovery Health Channel special 14 Children and Pregnant Again.

Jackson has been homeschooled his entire life.

Like most children, Jackson has chores, which the family calls "jurisdictions". In 2011, Jackson's jurisdiction was gathering the laundry. In 2014, his jurisdictions were listed as the downstairs trash and the kitchen counter. In 2017, his jurisdiction was seen to include emptying the trash.

By the time Jackson was born, his parents had implemented a buddy system, where each older child was paired with a younger child to take care of. Typical tasks for an older buddy included dressing, bathing, and feeding their younger buddies. By 2009, the family had switched from individual buddies to buddy teams, with each team being led by one of the oldest four daughters. Jackson was on a buddy team with older siblings Jana and Jason and younger sister Josie.

In 2006, as featured on one of the TV specials, Jackson and his family moved into a new home in Springdale, Arkansas. In this house, Jackson was given a dormitory-style room with his brothers. Jackson still lives in this house today.

Thanks to the reality show, Jackson was able to take a number of vacations as a child. Notable vacation locations include Disneyland, New York City, Niagara Falls, Scotland, Ireland, London, Israel, China, and Japan.
