On February 22, 2021, Nathan and Nurie Keller announced that they were expecting their first child via a Facebook Live video on Nurie's parents' Facebook page. At the time of the announcement, Nurie was in her first trimester and approximately 7 weeks along. They revealed that the baby was due on October 12, 2021.
On June 17, 2021, Nathan and Nurie announced that they were expecting a boy via a Facebook Live video on Nurie's parents' Facebook page. The reveal had Nathan and Nurie holding a cardboard sign saying "Boy or Girl" and Nurie's siblings spraying blue silly string on the sign.
On October 11, 2021, the baby's maternal grandmother, Jill Rodrigues, announced that Nurie had given birth at 9:44 a.m. at a Florida birth center. She said that it was a "beautiful, calm, natural labor and delivery with midwives". They were discharged within a few hours after the birth. On October 12, 2021, Nathan and Nurie revealed their son's name to be Nehemiah David Keller. Nehemiah means "comforted by God", which they chose after the character in the Bible. David means "beloved", which they chose after Nurie's father, David Rodrigues, and Nathan's brother, David Keller. He weighed 8 pounds and 2 ounces, and was 21 inches long.
