Ruth Elissa Bourlier (née Wissmann) (born August 16, 1983) is the second child and second daughter of Loren Wissmann and Gloria Wissmann.
She is the sister of Rachel Busenitz, Josiah Wissmann, Bethany Beasley, Andrew Wissmann, Elizabeth Wissmann, Matthias Wissmann, Stephen Wissmann, Hannah Duggar, Susanna Jerred, Alaythia Wissmann, Nathanael Wissmann, and Charissa Wissmann.
She is the wife of Ryan Bourlier and the mother of their five children, Lee, Jerit, Judah, Kaleb, and Chloe.
Early life[]
Ruth Elissa Wissmann was born on August 16, 1983, in Seward County, Nebraska, to Loren Wissmann and Gloria Wissmann. She was the couple's second child, and they went on to have eleven more children after her.
Along with her siblings, Ruth was homeschooled growing up. She graduated in 2001.
Ruth grew up singing and playing the flute in her family's ministry, The Wissmann Family. They started their family band in 1999. They have recorded several albums. They often travel around North America on tour.
Ruth enjoys journaling, taking morning walks, and researching scientific and health topics.

On December 20, 2015, Ruth met Ryan Bourlier. In January 2016, they officially began a courtship in Nebraska.

On March 27, 2016, Ruth got engaged to Ryan Bourlier along the Platte River in Nebraska.

On July 30, 2016, Ruth married Ryan James Bourlier in Nebraska.
Motherhood[]
The couple has 5 children.
Their first child, son Lee James, was born on June 21, 2017.
Their second child, son Jerit Daniel, was born on October 3, 2018.
Their third child, son Judah Loren, was born on November 28, 2019.
Their fourth child, son Kaleb Terry, was born on July 3, 2021.
Their fifth child, daughter Chloe Ann, was born on December 12, 2022.
The couple miscarried a child on September 25, 2023.
Health[]
In September 2023, Ruth became pregnant with what would have been their sixth child. However, it was an ectopic pregnancy, which caused her fallopian tubes to burst, requiring surgery and removal of the fetus.
