Weddings

The Duggar family are known for having large weddings, ranging from 200 to over 1000 guests. There are 14 married Duggar couples including Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. They were married in 1984. The most recent weddings took place in 2024.

Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar[]

James Robert "Jim Bob" Duggar married Michelle Annette Ruark on July 21, 1984, at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas. The wedding was attended by around 200 people and was done on a budget. Michelle made her own bouquet using fake flowers, and one of her sisters made a floral arrangement for the altar. Michelle also made her own cake, which was decorated by a friend. Furthermore, she did not buy a wedding dress, opting to wear Jim Bob's mother Mary's dress. The wedding ceremony was recorded on cassette.

For their honeymoon, Michelle and Jim Bob originally planned to stay at a cabin in a state park, but the reality ended up being very different from the brochure, so they went into town and stayed at a hotel in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Afterwards, they visited Mount Nebo, where they spent a few nights.

Josh & Anna Duggar[]

Joshua James Duggar married Anne Renée Keller on September 26, 2008, at Buford Grove Baptist Church in Hilliard, Florida. They shared their first kiss during the wedding, and vowed to leave the number of children they would have "up to God". The wedding was officiated by Curtis Harrington and Melvin Speicher.

For their honeymoon, Anna and Josh went to South Carolina.

Jill & Derick Dillard[]

Jill Michelle Duggar married Derick Michael Dillard on June 21, 2014, at Cross Church in Springdale, Arkansas. The couple shared their first kiss at the wedding in front of more than 1,000 guests. Jill's sister Jana was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were her sisters Jessa, Jinger, Joy-Anna, and Johannah, and her sister-in-law Anna. The flower girls were her sisters Jennifer, Jordyn, and Josie, and her niece Mackynzie. Derick's best man was his brother, Daniel, and his groomsmen included two of Jill's brothers, John-David and Joseph. His ring bearers were Jill's brother, Jackson, and her nephew, Michael.

For their honeymoon they went to Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.

Jessa & Ben Seewald[]

Jessa Lauren Duggar married Benjamin Michael "Ben" Seewald on November 1, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas. Jessa's maid of honor was her sister Jinger. The other bridesmaids were her sisters Jill, Jana and Joy, future sisters-in-law Jessica, Danielle, and Michelle, and friends Mandie Query, Anna Hackel, Peyton Weiss, and Jennifer Hartono. Her flower girls were her sister Jordyn and her future sister-in-law Faith. Ben's best man was his friend, Dylan McMahn, and his groomsmen were his brother Ethan, cousin Russ Seewald, future brothers-in-law Joseph and Josiah, and friends Daniel Robinson, Kolton Kulis, Ryan Schofield, Jake Hendrix, Rob Flowers. His ring bearer was his youngest brother, Thomas. The couple elected not to share their first kiss in front of the crowd, instead allowing it to be a private moment in an undisclosed room in the church.

For their honeymoon, they went to Paris, Rome, and Venice.

Jinger & Jeremy Vuolo[]

Jinger Nicole Duggar married Jeremy Joseph Vuolo on November 5, 2016, at the Cathedral of the Ozarks at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas in front of nearly 1,000 guests. The ceremony was officiated by Jeremy's father, Charles Vuolo. Jinger's matron of honor was her sister Jessa and her bridesmaids were her sisters Jill, Jana, Joy, Johannah, and Jennifer, sister-in-law Anna, future sister-in-law Valerie, and friends Jennifer Hartono, Kenzie Peters, and Rebekah Kelly. Jeremy's best man was his brother, Charles Jr.. Jinger's brother, John-David, and brother-in-law, Ben were among the groomsmen.

For their honeymoon they went to Australia.

Joy & Austin Forsyth[]

Joy-Anna Duggar married Austin Martyn Forsyth on May 26, 2017, at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas and had around 1,000 guests. The couple shared their first kiss at the altar. Joy's maid of honor was her sister Jill. She had eleven other bridesmaids, including her sisters Jana, Jessa, Jinger, Johannah, and Jennifer, sister-in-law Anna, future sister-in-law and friend Kendra, Austin's sister Meagan, and friends Sierra Jo Dominguez, Carlin Bates, and Heidi Query. Her future niece Allove Tunstill was her flower girl. Austin had 13 groomsmen, including Joy-Anna's older brother, John-David.

For their honeymoon they went to Switzerland, starting in Geneva and later traveling to Interlaken and Zermatt. They chose Switzerland because they thought it was beautiful. They then spent time in Israel, reportedly on a mission trip, before returning back to Arkansas.

Joseph & Kendra Duggar[]

Joseph Garrett Duggar married Kendra Renee Caldwell on September 8, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The wedding was officiated by her father, Paul. Kendra's sister Lauren was her maid of honor, and she had ten bridesmaids including her mother Christina, and future sisters-in-law Jana, Johannah, Jennifer, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, and Joy. Her sister Olivia was her flower girl. Joseph's best man was his brother Josiah, and his groomsmen were his brothers John-David, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, and Josh, as well as his friends Trace Bates and Peter Query.

For their honeymoon, the couple visited Athens, Greece.

Josiah & Lauren Duggar[]

Josiah Matthew Duggar married Lauren Milagro Swanson on June 30, 2018, at John Brown University's Cathedral of the Ozarks in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The wedding was officiated by her father, Dwain. Lauren's maid of honor was her sister Lily. Her bridesmaids were her future sisters-in-law Jana, Joy-Anna, Kendra, friend Hannah Millsap, one other friend, and her sister Lydia. Josiah's best man was his brother Joseph, and his groomsmen were his brothers Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, James, his brother-in-law, Austin, his future brother-in-law David, and a friend, with his future brother-in-law Dustin as his ring bearer.

For their honeymoon they went to Vienna, Austria.

John-David & Abbie Duggar[]

John-David Duggar married Abbie Grace Burnett on November 3, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Ada, Oklahoma. The wedding was officiated by her father, John. Abbie's matron of honor was her sister Hannah. One of Abbie's bridesmaids were her future sister-in-law Jana. John's best man was his brother Joseph. John's brother Josh and brother-in-law Austin were among the groomsmen.

For their honeymoon they went to Finland.

Justin & Claire Duggar[]

Justin Samuel Duggar married Claire Yvonne Spivey on February 26, 2021, at The Orchard Event Venue and Retreat in Azle, Texas. Claire's matron of honor was her mother Hilary. Her bridesmaids were her aunt Gari-Anne Smith, future sisters-in-law Abbie Duggar and Johannah Duggar and her sister Paige. Justin's best man was his brother Jason. His groomsmen were his brothers James, Jackson and John-David, his brother-in-law Austin Forsyth and future brother-in-law Robby Spivey. Their usher's were Justin's friends Jackson Bates and Warden Bates. Their ringbearers were Justin's nephews Michael and Marcus and Claire's brothers Wyatt and Taylor.

It is unknown where the couple went for their honeymoon but it was most likely held in the US due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Jedidiah & Katelyn Duggar[]

Jedidiah Robert Duggar married Katelyn Koryn Nakatsu on April 3, 2021, in Arkansas. Katey's bridesmaids were her sister Lauren Nakatsu, her future sisters-in-law Jinger Vuolo, Johannah Duggar, Jordyn-Grace Duggar, and her half-sister Jamie Roberts. Jedidiah's groomsmen were his brothers Jeremiah Duggar, Jason Duggar, James Duggar, Justin Duggar, Joseph Duggar, Josiah Duggar, his brother-in-law Austin Forsyth, and his friend Joseph Shoemaker. Jedidiah's nieces Meredith Duggar and Felicity Vuolo served as flower girls and his nephew Marcus Duggar was the ring bearer.

It is unknown where the couple went for their honeymoon but it was most likely held in the US due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Jeremiah & Hannah Duggar[]

Jeremiah Robert Duggar married Hannah Marlys Wissmann on March 26, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Hannah's maid of honor was her sister Susanna Wissmann. Her bridesmaids were her sisters, Alaythia Wissmann, Charissa Wissmann and Elizabeth Wissmann. Jeremiah's best man was his twin brother Jedidiah Duggar. His groomsmen were his brothers, Jason Duggar, James Duggar, Joseph Duggar. The flower girls were Hannah's niece Autumn Busenitz and Jeremiah's niece Ivy Seewald. The ring bearers were Hannah's nephew Everett Beasley and Jeremiah nephew Gideon Forsyth.

For their honeymoon they went to Atlantis Paradise Island in The Bahamas..

Jana & Stephen Wissmann[]

Jana Marie Duggar married Stephen Gerald Wissmann on August 15, 2024, at The Grand at Willow Springs in Prairie Grove, Arkansas in front of 500 guests. Jessa Seewald served as the bride's maid of honor, while her sister-in-law, Abbie Duggar, and sisters Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Vuolo and Jordyn-Grace Duggar were bridesmaids. Stephen's best man was his brother Matthias Wissmann. His groomsmen were his brothers, Andrew Wissmann, Nathanael Wissmann, Josiah Wissmann, his brother-in-law Alan Busenitz, and his friend Arnie Rohmor. The flower girl was Jana's niece Nora Duggar. The ushers were Jana's brothers Jason Duggar and James Duggar.
